It won't discourage me from visiting Las Vegas. Heck! There's crime and car crashes in my town which has been deemed one of the safest small cities in the country. Did 9/11 stop people from flying or visiting NYC? No. I was in Dallas, TX Union station in 1993 when there was a potential shooting situation that didn't happen but it ended with only the man with the gun ending up dead. But it didn't keep me from riding trains. You can't stop all crime, it's going to happen wherever and whenever, so hopefully nobody gets deterred from visiting Las Vegas. BTW, I know a couple of people vacationing there right now, who were fortunately in their hotel room nearby sleeping away when this latest incident happened.

Funny, I don't live in Vegas, but dreamed prominently about Bill's last night. This is really a shame, especially if they get rid of the old Vegas facade wrapped around the front and side of the building and the classic interior. An example of a redo done right is Tropicana vs, tearing down a structure only to leave a blank lot in the end. But really hope too much doesn't change.

While I may not be in the market for what they're selling, it makes buying things from Gold and Silver more accessible for those unable to make it to Las Vegas. Though I visit at least once annually, myself. Between Pawn Stars and Ghost Adventures, it's fun knowing that Vegas can turn out quality programming just like LA and New York City. And I'd rather look at the scenery that is the LV Valley than the smog of L.A. and the NY skyline.

While I don't blame Caesar's Entertainment for overlooking some underage gamblers/drinkers, there needs to be more oversight in the whole industry. And not to tell the casinos to help parents do their job as parents, it should be highly discouraged that parents of children small enough to fit into strollers bring their young ones to Vegas with them on vacation. If they do, then the parents should have the common sense not to bring their minors to the casino floors and establishments that serve alcohol if they can help it. And casinos should ask loitering families on the floor and in bars to leave for more family friendly venues such as food courts, arcades like at Excalibur/Circus Circus, and the large garden areas like Bellagio to rest. I personally have never seen so many young kids as I did in my recent visit to Las Vegas let alone older minors. I understand it's summer, but Disney Land, Lake Mead, and other family friendly tourism centers are available. Enough with the kids and older underage people in Vegas, it's an adult playground!

As long as they don't change too much about the place. Downtown Vegas may soon try to be like the ultra clubby Strip. Hope not. I like to gamble a little and enjoy a pool, buffet and that's about it.
