Our Vision
Nevada HAND is committed to providing positive living environments where healthy, engaged residents can improve their economic status and take pride in their communities. We believe that providing opportunities and support for economic stability, health and wellness, education, and community engagement will help our residents reach their full potential, stabilize families, and transform lives.
Our Goals
Affordable homes for low-income families and individuals are the foundation for great communities where people and economies thrive, and we are proud to be part of the solution for Southern Nevada. We thrive in collaboration, working with local, state, and federal officials, a variety of public and private partners, and individuals to work toward attaining affordable housing solutions for our region. We rely on our core values of curiosity, respect, resourcefulness, and integrity to deliver our mission, help our residents, and advance our community—creating opportunities to live well for years to come.
Our Mission
Nevada HAND improves the lives of low-income individuals by providing affordable housing solutions and supportive services. We are committed to providing positive living environments, where healthy, engaged residents can improve their economic status and take pride in their communities. We believe that providing opportunities and support for economic security, health and wellness, education, and community engagement will help our residents reach their full potential and access opportunities to live well.
Fundraising Opportunities
The fundraising opportunities and needs for Nevada HAND expand beyond creating affordable apartment homes and communities. Nevada HAND’s affordable homes are coupled with life-changing and community-enriching Resident Services, which help residents climb the ladder of success and take advantage of opportunities and resources. These services are offered to all 8,000-plus residents who live in a Nevada HAND community. Residents rely on the programs and services that donors have been able to fund to continue enriching their lives and prepare for the next step in their journey. Every dollar committed to Nevada HAND’s Resident Services Program goes toward ensuring that the day-to-day resident experience is life-enriching beyond just having a safe and affordable home. Opportunities can range from supporting any of our existing programs in education, health and wellness, financial stability or community engagement.
Volunteer Opportunities
Nevada HAND offers a number of volunteer opportunities across all of our family, senior, and assisted-living sites. Volunteers are encouraged to stay engaged and up to date on opportunities through the Nevada HAND newsletter and applying to join the organization’s emerging leaders’ board, HAND Collaborative. For more information, visit nevadahand.org.
Giving Opportunities
Beyond the giving opportunities that directly fund services for our residents, Nevada HAND is also happy to accept gift-in-kind support. These gifts benefit Nevada HAND’s affordable housing communities and can often ease cost and daily burdens that our residents face.
