OUR VISION

We envision a world in which young people have the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities. We believe by investing in our youth’s economic futures today, we can change their tomorrow. Together with business leaders, schools and volunteers, we teach young people how to make smart financial decisions, prepare them for the workforce and become entrepreneurs. By inspiring them to dream big and see a world of limitless opportunity, we can make the future better for all of us.

OUR GOALS

To positively impact young people’s perceptions about the importance of education, as well as critical life skills. Preparation involves our proven lessons that promote financial capability, work and career readiness, and business ownership (entrepreneurship).

OUR MISSION

Empowering Youth to Own Their Economic Success.

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

At JA of Southern Nevada, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether getting involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways to support our work while having a great time!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are critical to the success of our programs and JA volunteers have the opportunity to impact a large number of students in a short span of time. As a volunteer, you will inspire and prepare young people for their futures and help youth avoid the financial pitfalls so many adults currently face.

In-Classroom volunteering: Junior Achievement’s classroom volunteers come from all walks of life, including: business people, college students, parents and retirees. These dedicated individuals are the backbone of our organization. JA programs bring volunteers into the classroom to teach students, K-12 and young adults up to 25, about entrepreneurship, personal financial literacy, and workforce readiness. JA provides you with the materials and training necessary to teach your class.

Event volunteering: We have unique and fun ways for volunteers to help.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Junior Achievement partners with corporations and individuals to fund the programs that are delivered to our local students. This is done through:

• Program and Event Sponsorships

• Corporate Giving

• Individual Donations

• In-Kind Donations

• Company Matching Donations

• Shop via Amazon Smile
