OUR MISSION

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

OUR VISION

For most of the past century, Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada has provided opportunities for K-12 girls to support one another through the very best and even the more challenging times in their lives. Girl Scouts spreads the message that girls are strong, important and influential. GSSNV is regarded as a prominent leadership development organization in the Valley.

OUR GOALS

To provide year-round programming centered around four pillars: outdoors, entrepreneurship, STEAM and life skills.

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

Dessert Before Dinner, our annual fundraising gala, honors outstanding female leaders in Southern Nevada. The support we receive from local donors provides scholarships, programming, transportation, equipment and supplies to thousands of girls in our community.

Corporate Sponsorships: Partnerships with organizations like Cox Charities provide technology, supplies, and programming opportunities for girls across Southern Nevada. The Cox Innovation Lab at Council Headquarters is an integral part of the Girl Scouts’ STEAM programming.

Community Partnerships: Community partners provides important in-kind resources that support our mission of making the world a better place.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are the life-blood of Girl Scouts. Donate your time and talent to young girls by becoming a troop leader. Opportunities are available year-round, and all volunteers must submit to a full background check.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

There are many ways to support Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada. Every dollar stays right here in Southern Nevada.

Product Sales: Our entrepreneurship product program, also known as “cookie season,” begins in early January and lasts through early March each year. The program teaches girls business skills including marketing, problem solving and product delivery. Proceeds from cookie sales are split between council and local troops to fund experiences throughout the year.

Employee Giving and Employer Matching: Many local companies offer charitable giving plans through payroll deduction.
