Guests entering Caesars Palace through the main entrance will soon be greeted by a 15-foot of statue of Augustus Caesar.

The addition is part of a reimagining of the entrance, main casino and porte-cochère that will include a high dome ceiling, two redesigned gaming areas and new lobby bar, officials announced this morning. The cost of the project wasn’t revealed.

"Completely rebuilding the front entrance of one of the world’s most iconic destinations is no small task, and we’re excited to get started and create a stunning new visual welcome for our guests," said Sean McBurney, Caesars Entertainment regional president in a news release.

Construction will begin this month and is scheduled to be mostly completed by the end of the year, officials said.
