Describe your business.

With AdYoYo, people can sell their gently used items using video, or shop video listings of secondhand items posted by people near them.

And it’s not just for consumers. AdYoYo also is for local businesses to market their products and services to thousands of people near them for free using video, which can show greater detail than a photo. If posting a guitar, sellers can play it on the video so buyers can hear how it sounds. If they’re selling electronics, they can turn it on and show how it works. If they’re selling a car, they can show all of its details and even rev the engine.

How was AdYoYo conceived?

The idea of AdYoYo came up when one of our founders was scouring the internet to find the perfect couch. He searched secondhand listing services and found the perfect fit. The pictures on the site showed the color he was searching for, and it was in perfect condition. But when he went to pick up his dream sofa, it turned out to be a kid-sized couch. After laughing at the situation, it occurred to him: “Video is the way to do this right.”

Who are your users and targeted demographic?

It can be moms or families who have stuff to get rid of easily for some extra cash, or even students who are always on the move. AdYoYo is great for starter families to find deals on high-quality secondhand items.

We also target businesses to market their products or services to their local community on our app.

How many people do you employ and what is your projected employment growth in the coming year?

We have 17 people on the team including our developers, and we will continue to hire mainly in marketing and customer service since those roles would primarily be the backbone of the company, along with our development team. We also recruit students and actively work with local universities to mentor and grow thriving tech talent in Las Vegas.

Describe your company culture.

We are headquartered in Las Vegas, and we are tapped into the pulse that drives this city daily. Our office incorporates an open concept and a communal workstation where team members from various departments work closely together to create efficient synergies.

Not only do we focus on fostering creativity to achieve our mission, but we also strongly believe in connecting with the community in meaningful ways, such as hosting donation drives to support hurricane victims and helping churches and thrift stores receive more donations through our app. Our focus is on encouraging positive change in our industry and in the communities we serve.

What is the best part about doing business in Las Vegas?

Las Vegas has all the right materials for a tech company to grow, and an accessible talent pool. A large portion of Las Vegas’ economy is made up of tourism, manufacturing, mining and aerospace, and we see this as an opportunity to bring more tech jobs to Las Vegas and recruit some of the best talent in the state.
